Seeing as official reports for years proves PS3 is selling faster than the 360, then my prediction is that the gap has closed another million since the October reports, and the PS3 has sold 48 million units, leaving a 2 million gap.
Vgchartz says 360 at 50 million, then I say PS3 at 48 million, that`s fair, right?

Big surprise there. Next year is all PS3, whether you like it or not. Everybody knows it at this point.
Wow, the media is all over the 360 this year. I didn`t really see this coming. All the 360 really had going for it this year was XBLA, in retail it was pretty bare.
Does this question even need to be asked at this point? No other platform next year even comes within the same ballpark as the PS3.

I for one am not surprised in the least, and like mentioned above, they conveniently left out MLB 10, a major AAA PS3 exclusive, and instead included NBA Jam.
If there is a way to make the 360 look good, leave it to IGN to find a way.

On topic, the Wii kicked some ass this year, best lineup overall with the PS3 really close and the 360 in a distant last.

Why bother? Everybody on here knows which console has the best lineup. It`s actually kind of insulting lumping the PS3 lineup together with that sub-par 360 lineup.
Though not as good as 2009, PS3 still had more quality titles than the 360 this year, which is ironic considering how MS was running their mouths about how 2010 is the 360`s biggest year. Next year is looking to be the PS3`s best for sure.
RDR just beat out Mass Effect 2 tonight. Why would you think Mass Effect 3 would beat Uncharted 3?
I agree about the PS3 exclusives next year, who doesn`t? But they made this "event" seem like some massive groundbreaking never before seen blow our minds kind of deal, you know?
Don`t get me wrong, I need to see more Uncharted 3! But a brand new reveal would have been even sweeter.
The gameplay was very, very impressive. The coloring was very unique, a blue/grey/yellow giving a very drab feel. The Atmosphere looked top notch, grim, gloomy, and very run-down. The graphics were a clear step up, and the enemy animations including the way they blew up, were very well done. The trailer impressed the hell out of me. This and the Uncharted 3 trailers were the show stoppers.
This was all Sony. So many excellent trailers, and of course, 2 amazing exclusive trailers.

God of War 3, couldn`t have given it to a better game.
